[00:00:00] You're listening to part 3 of the 4 Part Season finale.
[00:00:03] This episode contains significant depictions of head trauma and brain damage.
[00:00:08] Before we get started, I thought you should know that even when this episode gets scary,
[00:00:12] you're still safe.
[00:00:13] Check the bottom of the description for a full list of content warnings.
[00:00:17] And if you get scared, just imagine we're all holding hands.
[00:00:22] In the previous episode, Bobby Jeremy and I decided to look for security footage.
[00:00:26] By early morning, I found hospital security footage from the night of Alaska's death.
[00:00:31] Oh gosh. Bobby, you can look away.
[00:00:35] Thank you.
[00:00:36] In the video, an absolute stranger attacks Alaska.
[00:00:40] It's somebody I've never seen before. It's hospital staff.
[00:00:44] So, uh, I'll find out who that is.
[00:00:48] No, I'll do it. I can do it faster.
[00:00:51] And Jeremy's standing, ranging in the doorway.
[00:00:55] Who was that?
[00:00:56] I don't think I can tell you what Jeremy looks like in this moment.
[00:01:00] There's no way to describe it.
[00:01:03] Are we all okay?
[00:01:05] I don't think it matters.
[00:01:11] I'll bring us back the life security feed and then we can go.
[00:01:15] Is there a way that you could...
[00:01:17] Emma, please go fuck off.
[00:01:20] I'm being helpful right now.
[00:01:22] If you're wondering about this conversation between Jeremy and Emma,
[00:01:25] no, I'm not catching any of it.
[00:01:27] Emma's hiding and only Jeremy seems to be aware of her.
[00:01:30] The microphone is picking it up but Bobby and I are preoccupied.
[00:01:35] I thought you're into Denver. What happened to it?
[00:01:38] I'd follow his rump to the ends of this earth.
[00:01:41] There's a little more going on right now.
[00:01:43] And I was joking.
[00:01:44] Then, in the corner of my eye,
[00:01:47] I catch a glint in one of the bottom right video feeds.
[00:01:50] The ceiling lights are reflecting on a pair of goggles and it's Curtis.
[00:01:55] It's Boo fucking Curtis waddling around through a hallway with Joe close behind.
[00:02:01] That's Boo!
[00:02:02] Wait, where?
[00:02:03] He's going inside somebody else's room.
[00:02:05] Oh god. I'll check where this is.
[00:02:09] You think they'd label these?
[00:02:11] Alright, Joe's friends are over here.
[00:02:13] Oh yeah. What are they doing?
[00:02:16] And now we've got Dylan and Dan too.
[00:02:19] They're strolling around in an upper right hand video feed.
[00:02:22] So I asked Bobby for a favor.
[00:02:24] Could you text Joe for me?
[00:02:26] Sure. I mean, what should I say?
[00:02:29] Have her ask Boo if Dylan and Dan gave him something to eat.
[00:02:34] Why?
[00:02:35] Because they're carrying around a brown paper bag and I want to know what's in it.
[00:02:38] 90% of my job is asking boring questions.
[00:02:41] I can't figure out how to find the room Boo's in.
[00:02:44] But I also take a couple minutes to monitor Dylan and Dan along the way.
[00:02:48] I try to figure out what they're doing, but they're just standing around in the hallway.
[00:02:53] Like they don't have anything to do.
[00:02:56] So why are they here?
[00:02:59] Something's happening.
[00:03:00] I looked to the room Boo went into.
[00:03:02] Hospital security is rushing inside.
[00:03:05] A member of medical staff is hanging outside the open doorway
[00:03:09] and trying to lean over enough to get a good look.
[00:03:12] Soon we'll hear about Boo's second-hand injury.
[00:03:15] Boo's being attacked by law enforcement.
[00:03:18] And in the scuffle, his head is banged against a wall.
[00:03:22] I don't have time to panic.
[00:03:24] Instead, I work.
[00:03:26] I find the name of a woman who attempted to assault Alaskan or CCTV footage.
[00:03:30] This is what my job is supposed to be.
[00:03:32] Typing search terms into my laptop.
[00:03:35] I find her name.
[00:03:36] It's Kenzie Joyce.
[00:03:38] Then Boo wakes up.
[00:03:41] But there was a staff member that attacked Alaskan while he was in the hospital.
[00:03:46] Her name was Kenzie Joyce. I think she was an outsider.
[00:03:49] No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
[00:03:51] Boo? Boo, can you hear us?
[00:03:53] Alaskan was attacked by two outsiders.
[00:03:57] We call them.
[00:03:58] Is Boo screaming?
[00:03:59] He wants to go to the bottom of the lake, the lake in Stumptown.
[00:04:04] Why?
[00:04:05] Because Alaskan was attacked by two outsiders
[00:04:08] and his psychic said a while ago that outsiders come from the bottom of that lake,
[00:04:12] so now he wants answers.
[00:04:13] But I told him no, we're not doing that.
[00:04:16] I remind myself that today could be difficult.
[00:04:19] Today could be trying.
[00:04:21] And I'm prepared to be scared and overwhelmed.
[00:04:24] Everything is worth a try and a try is worth your confidence.
[00:04:29] Welcome to Who Killed Alaska?
[00:04:33] Detective Files.
[00:04:34] This is Who Killed Alaska? The Adventures.
[00:04:37] I'm a private investigator looking for the killer.
[00:04:40] And I'm the regular guy who's gonna stop him.
[00:04:42] Previously on Who Killed Alaska.
[00:04:44] Alaskan was attacked by two outsiders.
[00:04:47] Alaska was attacked by two outsiders.
[00:04:50] He was stabbed by an outsider.
[00:04:52] The outsiders wanted to kill him.
[00:04:55] Having some kind of nightmare.
[00:04:58] You ran your little room.
[00:05:01] Hey Boo, you ready to have a go?
[00:05:04] Man, he's gone now.
[00:05:09] Boo gets himself a ghost box.
[00:05:11] Emma, Joe, you're gonna meet reflection?
[00:05:13] I'm responding to you.
[00:05:15] I meet my wife.
[00:05:18] He can't form a sentence, but I can.
[00:05:20] All the answers are...
[00:05:22] Need to go to the bottom of the lake.
[00:05:24] You can't go to the lake.
[00:05:28] Now it's time for the new episode.
[00:05:30] Welcome back, bud.
[00:05:31] This is Boo Killed Alaska.
[00:05:33] When Boo originally arrived at the hospital,
[00:05:40] Emma was the first person to show up in the waiting room after me.
[00:05:43] She told me she should finally listen to Who Killed Alaska.
[00:05:47] So she did.
[00:05:49] And she started taking notes, although I wasn't watching her closely.
[00:05:53] And I didn't take a look at the book she was writing in.
[00:05:56] After a short while, Emma disappeared.
[00:06:00] I didn't see her leave.
[00:06:02] But later I would find out where she was.
[00:06:05] This was when Emma became invested.
[00:06:07] In between catching up on the episodes,
[00:06:10] she was slinking around in the hospital.
[00:06:12] Ease dropping.
[00:06:14] She even interviewed somebody who Boo and I never found.
[00:06:17] The nurse who didn't take for Bobby
[00:06:19] when Bobby came in with a missing hand four years ago.
[00:06:25] Emma wrote down a garbled mix of her own stream of consciousness.
[00:06:29] And the words that she heard
[00:06:31] and would end up on the page was these words.
[00:06:35] Remember, remember the 13th of July in 2019
[00:06:40] when he was tossing and turning.
[00:06:42] The alien scratched off his bandages.
[00:06:45] But boy said he saw a glimmering weapon in the hand of a girl.
[00:06:49] He said more but who can remember the rest?
[00:06:53] Those words were written to the interior cover of Emma's notebook.
[00:06:57] The same notebook Emma filled with so many notes
[00:07:00] about the detective files and the adventures.
[00:07:04] Those notes are still written into the cover.
[00:07:06] But with so much going on,
[00:07:08] Boo and Joe will never find Emma's message.
[00:07:11] Boo's head was injured for the second time in 48 hours.
[00:07:18] Bobby, can you go check on Boo?
[00:07:20] Absolutely.
[00:07:22] Boo is not gonna be okay for a while.
[00:07:27] He needs more time. He had a second head injury.
[00:07:30] The whole point is that I'm not giving him more time.
[00:07:33] Anyway, she can hear you now.
[00:07:35] Boo, are you reverting yet?
[00:07:37] Preferting?
[00:07:38] To when you were a kid.
[00:07:40] Ted...
[00:07:42] Ted, it's scary but it's also not scary enough.
[00:07:47] That's because part of your brain got dislodged in your skull.
[00:07:50] Is it possible?
[00:07:52] Of course it is. There's less of you left now.
[00:07:54] There will always be not scary enough.
[00:07:57] Put the mirror away!
[00:08:01] Boo, what are we gonna do?
[00:08:05] Don't call him Boo.
[00:08:07] Hold on. Just trying not to think about the bottom of the lake.
[00:08:12] Boo, you can't go!
[00:08:14] The vibe can be changed with a nice song.
[00:08:23] The nurse walks in.
[00:08:24] No, let's interview all the suspects. Do you want to do that?
[00:08:27] Okay.
[00:08:28] Hi. It's good to see you awake.
[00:08:31] I heard some yelling. Is everything okay?
[00:08:33] Okay.
[00:08:34] The nurse checks Boo and asks him new intake questions.
[00:08:37] Where are you?
[00:08:38] Joe stares at a trail of dust on the floor.
[00:08:40] You're in St. Francis Hospital?
[00:08:42] Okay, and where are you?
[00:08:44] You're in St. Francis Hospital.
[00:08:46] What's your name?
[00:08:47] The nurse tells Boo that his parents are in the waiting room.
[00:08:50] He manages to type out a garbled text to his parents saying he doesn't want to be seen.
[00:08:55] Then the nurse tells him that his CAT scan will be postponed by another 12 hours,
[00:09:00] and then she leaves them alone.
[00:09:02] The lake. The lake.
[00:09:04] Are we recording?
[00:09:08] Yeah.
[00:09:11] Hello to the whole world.
[00:09:14] We're going to solve a whole mystery.
[00:09:18] All the clues are right here.
[00:09:20] All the clues are right in hands and gonna be able to put them together.
[00:09:24] So who killed at last?
[00:09:29] Let's put the microphone back.
[00:09:31] It's gonna hold on to it.
[00:09:33] Let's put it back.
[00:09:34] No.
[00:09:35] All right, okay. Try to solve the mystery when I bash your head in a third time.
[00:09:38] What are you wincing for?
[00:09:40] Bobby.
[00:09:41] Bobby.
[00:09:43] Hey.
[00:09:44] You are standing in the door and not moving and just watching us.
[00:09:49] I came to see Boo.
[00:09:52] How did you get in? I felt they only let two visitors in at a time.
[00:09:56] Emma isn't here right now.
[00:10:00] What? No, she was right here.
[00:10:02] You can come in, Bobby.
[00:10:04] Boo.
[00:10:08] Bobby, Boo wants to interview you. Do you want to help us save Boo?
[00:10:14] Denver, you wanted me to like not tell you guys anything.
[00:10:20] Alice, Alaskara, what is help out and...
[00:10:30] Yeah. I can help.
[00:10:33] What?
[00:10:34] I'll answer any questions you want.
[00:10:38] Just if you tell me to help, I'll help.
[00:10:45] Do you want to ask Bobby some questions?
[00:10:54] Kill Alaska?
[00:10:59] No.
[00:11:00] All right, come on. Ask him more questions.
[00:11:06] Okay.
[00:11:07] Bobby, Bobby, sure not kill Alaska?
[00:11:17] Yeah.
[00:11:18] He's not telling the truth. He's not short.
[00:11:21] What?
[00:11:23] I've never used my emotion reading on the case.
[00:11:26] I haven't been keeping score.
[00:11:29] For real?
[00:11:32] Well, yeah. I mean, you know, this is how you can interview.
[00:11:34] I'll be like a human lighted sector.
[00:11:36] Ask him a question, Boo.
[00:11:39] Uh...
[00:11:41] Did you make the...
[00:11:45] Or Alaskara get killed by you?
[00:11:51] No.
[00:11:53] Okay. And I can communicate to you that Bobby's lying.
[00:11:57] I mean, I don't think that I killed Alaska.
[00:12:01] And that's true.
[00:12:03] Boo.
[00:12:06] Bobby, did you see who killed Alaska?
[00:12:10] No. No.
[00:12:12] See? There you go. That's true.
[00:12:14] So that means Bobby didn't see who killed Alaska.
[00:12:17] Right? Okay.
[00:12:19] Bobby, were you in the room...
[00:12:21] Come on, go ahead. Boo, come on. Ask a question.
[00:12:24] Were you in the room when Alaska died?
[00:12:29] No.
[00:12:31] And that's true.
[00:12:33] Saw you gave to an...
[00:12:36] A lot...
[00:12:39] A birthday present that night, right?
[00:12:41] Yeah. Yeah.
[00:12:42] Saw you gave him something.
[00:12:45] And what is...
[00:12:47] What did you give him?
[00:12:49] I mean, I probably can't even lie about this.
[00:12:52] I gave him a comb.
[00:12:55] Did you give him a knife, Bobby?
[00:12:57] A knife?
[00:12:59] Sorry about that.
[00:13:02] Did you get him a knife?
[00:13:04] But you said you got him a comb!
[00:13:06] Yeah. So...
[00:13:10] The night that I gave Alaska a birthday present,
[00:13:14] he opened it up and everyone did think that it was a comb.
[00:13:19] But it really was a knife.
[00:13:23] Um...
[00:13:25] Before that, we had taken the strip upstate
[00:13:30] and we were at like a cabin near Lake.
[00:13:34] And on one of the days we were there,
[00:13:37] we went to a store
[00:13:41] and the back room was full of like,
[00:13:46] racist weed pongs
[00:13:49] and they had these combs.
[00:13:52] These combs you could just kind of...
[00:13:54] The top pops off and then it's like a letter opener kind of knife.
[00:13:59] And yeah, that's...
[00:14:02] That's also where Boo bought that,
[00:14:05] like the man card that he keeps in his wallet.
[00:14:09] Who did?
[00:14:11] But...
[00:14:13] So there were also like these X-shaped slashes
[00:14:18] under every table.
[00:14:21] And you said that it was the symbol of the
[00:14:26] Colombo crime family?
[00:14:29] Remember?
[00:14:31] Yeah, so basically I bought a mafia knife.
[00:14:37] That's the knife that killed Alaska.
[00:14:43] Can you like, pretend like you're surprised by that?
[00:14:49] You don't need permission.
[00:14:52] Bobby hesitates.
[00:14:54] And that's when Joe gives Bobby a sharp look that says
[00:14:57] don't acknowledge that there's something wrong with Boo.
[00:14:59] Thanks.
[00:15:01] I do feel allowed to...
[00:15:05] To explain, but um...
[00:15:08] People say that Alaska was stabbed by a cheap plastic knife
[00:15:14] and the reason is because yeah, it was literally a...
[00:15:19] A gag knife.
[00:15:21] Denver kept saying Alaska was stabbed with a cheap gag knife
[00:15:31] so figured it out a while ago.
[00:15:36] Gotcha.
[00:15:39] I am a pacifist in practice.
[00:15:44] I would have never hurt him.
[00:15:46] That was my knife.
[00:15:50] I am so sorry.
[00:15:52] Guess the fact that it's your gift doesn't mean that you killed him.
[00:15:58] Our last...
[00:16:00] Alaska thought you gave him a cone,
[00:16:03] so he probably just had it in his back pocket
[00:16:07] until he had it in his Coleman.
[00:16:10] Anybody could have taken the knife off of him to stab him.
[00:16:13] That's right, Bill!
[00:16:15] Oh no.
[00:16:16] Let's talk about Emma.
[00:16:19] Emma has a unique ability to hide in plain sight.
[00:16:23] I don't know how she does this.
[00:16:25] She becomes a stranger in the corner of your eye.
[00:16:28] But the stranger is a stranger to being a stranger.
[00:16:32] That's what Emma is doing right now.
[00:16:34] She finds out that the knife that killed Alaska
[00:16:37] was in Alaska's pocket up until his death.
[00:16:40] And this changes everything.
[00:16:42] This whole time, Emma's been assuming that she couldn't have killed Alaska.
[00:16:46] She never saw the knife until it was in Alaska's abdomen.
[00:16:49] Emma never considered any serious possibility
[00:16:52] that she could have stabbed Alaska
[00:16:54] because it would have taken too many coincidences in a row
[00:16:57] to kill Alaska while hallucinating.
[00:16:59] But she was too high to know what happened that night Alaska died.
[00:17:03] Alaska thought you gave him a comb,
[00:17:10] so he probably just had it in his back pocket.
[00:17:13] Anybody could have taken the knife off of him to stab him.
[00:17:16] These words make it possible.
[00:17:19] Emma could have killed Alaska.
[00:17:23] Bill, are you okay?
[00:17:26] And Emma rushes out.
[00:17:28] The door's open.
[00:17:30] I get it.
[00:17:31] But Joe and Bobby and Boo don't know that.
[00:17:33] Okay, that's it.
[00:17:34] Bobby, get out of here.
[00:17:36] We're going to discuss our findings.
[00:17:37] All right, can you send Logan to talk to us?
[00:17:39] Good job.
[00:17:40] Hey, Bobby, go tell Logan to visit us.
[00:17:44] I just wish that I'd been more honest with you.
[00:17:49] There are so many letters for the aliens
[00:17:55] that I wanted to show you,
[00:17:57] but you always seem so busy
[00:18:00] and I never wanted to bother you with my star cluster.
[00:18:04] You were going to show your aliens to just...
[00:18:08] You want to show your letters to the aliens?
[00:18:11] That would have been so special.
[00:18:14] I love you, Boo.
[00:18:16] Love you too.
[00:18:17] Can I kiss you on the forehead?
[00:18:20] Yeah.
[00:18:21] Mwah.
[00:18:26] Wait, there's a change one to make?
[00:18:31] I don't know, I'm just...
[00:18:33] I don't know.
[00:18:34] I'm just...
[00:18:35] I'm not too...
[00:18:39] Okay.
[00:18:40] Shhh.
[00:18:41] Okay, it's good now.
[00:18:45] Hello, world.
[00:18:46] It's time to take a break from solving who killed
[00:18:50] Alaska for a few messages that keep stuttering
[00:18:56] and messing up.
[00:18:58] So Joe is going to sing new ad break song for...
[00:19:07] What?
[00:19:08] Start whenever.
[00:19:10] Just strumming random chords.
[00:19:13] Music.
[00:19:20] Music.
[00:19:22] Music to ears.
[00:19:26] The money doesn't matter.
[00:19:29] The money doesn't matter.
[00:19:31] The money doesn't matter.
[00:19:33] Just tell, tell your people how you feel
[00:19:38] about this show.
[00:19:40] Tell them all the things you like
[00:19:43] and paint a picture.
[00:19:47] What do you mean?
[00:19:48] And then make a happy memory
[00:19:52] listening together.
[00:19:56] Support our show.
[00:19:59] Tell your favorite people about who killed Alaska.
[00:20:03] Boo, what is the point of this?
[00:20:05] I'm just...
[00:20:06] I'm not...
[00:20:07] I don't really...
[00:20:08] What are we going for?
[00:20:09] Not boo.
[00:20:10] Okay, well, alright.
[00:20:12] Well, why are we doing an advertisement?
[00:20:14] You know, right now.
[00:20:15] Like what is the point of this?
[00:20:18] Do you want makeup lyrics?
[00:20:22] If you want...
[00:20:24] It's fine.
[00:20:26] Hand the lyrics?
[00:20:28] Thank you to lavender,
[00:20:41] cozy, grinsley spa,
[00:20:44] antigone racing,
[00:20:48] Nisha Warlock,
[00:20:50] Shea Andrewsworth,
[00:20:52] or CJ Taylor-Caldwell,
[00:20:55] Lily Carlton,
[00:20:57] Brad Goupal,
[00:20:59] Nartos Emma,
[00:21:01] and Nicole Cardard,
[00:21:03] Shep Cera,
[00:21:06] Ashley Shashi,
[00:21:09] Living luxuriously,
[00:21:12] Kelly Brennan,
[00:21:14] and Declan McCauley.
[00:21:17] You can...
[00:21:20] Can you do the next part?
[00:21:25] Yeah, okay.
[00:21:27] Yeah.
[00:21:28] Be happy for me,
[00:21:36] be happy for me.
[00:21:38] I wish you better than what I have right now.
[00:21:44] I wish you better than what I have right now.
[00:21:49] I'm a party in the blue of a blue.
[00:21:57] Be happy for me, for now I say.
[00:22:02] This is a pretty good song, actually.
[00:22:06] That's it.
[00:22:08] That's it, actually.
[00:22:10] That's all that's on the page.
[00:22:13] Shit.
[00:22:15] Forgot to write the ending.
[00:22:18] This can be really sentimental.
[00:22:21] That's fucked up.
[00:22:22] No, no.
[00:22:23] It's okay.
[00:22:24] Hey, it's okay.
[00:22:25] It was good.
[00:22:26] Thank you.
[00:22:27] Thanks.
[00:22:28] Yeah, it was good.
[00:22:29] Yeah.
[00:22:30] Mmm.
[00:22:31] And at this time,
[00:22:34] I don't know about Emma and her book either.
[00:22:40] I'm focused on these two things.
[00:22:51] Finding out what's going on.
[00:22:53] And two things.
[00:22:54] Finding out why an officer hurt Boo
[00:22:57] in solving this mystery.
[00:22:59] Jeremy and I stand in the crowd to watch the officers arrest.
[00:23:04] I think Boo and Joe
[00:23:06] are investigating something important.
[00:23:08] So how do we find out what they know?
[00:23:12] Excuse me, are you an investigator?
[00:23:14] Uh, yes.
[00:23:15] I'm in the private sector, though.
[00:23:17] Are you Fen Denver?
[00:23:18] You listen to the podcast.
[00:23:20] The what?
[00:23:22] Um...
[00:23:23] I just know who you are.
[00:23:25] Follow me, Fen Denver.
[00:23:27] She walks ahead on the stride
[00:23:29] and we scamper after her through the halls of the ICU.
[00:23:33] Uh, where are we going?
[00:23:36] And she stops, sifts through some keys
[00:23:38] and takes us into a radiology room.
[00:23:41] Um...
[00:23:47] The nurse walks into the center of the room and stops
[00:23:50] at the white donut-shaped cat scanner.
[00:23:53] And she grabs onto a panel on the side of it
[00:23:56] and she starts pulling on that panel.
[00:24:01] Cool and normal.
[00:24:03] You need some help?
[00:24:05] You need some help?
[00:24:10] And she rips off the side of the machine.
[00:24:17] Okay, sleigh.
[00:24:19] And then she leaves the room.
[00:24:25] Oh!
[00:24:32] Do we do something now?
[00:24:33] There's something in there.
[00:24:35] In the...
[00:24:37] machine?
[00:24:38] I...
[00:24:39] I think it's...
[00:24:42] I don't know.
[00:24:44] Out of the gaping hole,
[00:24:49] a black slip of rubber sticks out.
[00:24:51] And that little black thing
[00:24:53] keeps sh-shrumbling and shifting around.
[00:24:56] The closer we step,
[00:24:58] the shape reveals itself as a shoe
[00:25:01] within the gaping side of the machine.
[00:25:04] And the shoe is attached to a leg,
[00:25:06] pressed up against the machine's interior wires and joints.
[00:25:10] And the leg is attached to a hip,
[00:25:13] which is attached to a torso,
[00:25:16] which is attached to a full, lanky man,
[00:25:20] crunched up in a fetal position within the machine.
[00:25:23] Hello.
[00:25:28] Who are you?
[00:25:29] I'm here to offer you a tip.
[00:25:31] Um...
[00:25:32] Who's your friend?
[00:25:33] He's assisting my investigation.
[00:25:36] What's going on?
[00:25:38] I'm here to warn you about Josephine's to McGarrick.
[00:25:41] Josephine McGarrick.
[00:25:43] That sounds like a bad idea.
[00:25:47] Are you gonna warn us
[00:25:49] about something that could get you killed
[00:25:51] and potentially us also?
[00:25:53] No, it's not that kind of warning,
[00:25:56] but that's interesting.
[00:25:58] Do you know something I don't?
[00:26:00] No. It was just a guess.
[00:26:03] What's going on?
[00:26:04] What's going on is I have a photograph for you, Detective Denver.
[00:26:07] It might tell you something about who killed your boy.
[00:26:10] He hands me a photograph
[00:26:12] and it's a sneaky picture of Joe
[00:26:15] with scars across the palms of her hands.
[00:26:18] Alright, so...
[00:26:20] Who are you exactly?
[00:26:22] I'm Steven.
[00:26:23] And how do you know about Joe?
[00:26:25] I'm her gynecologist.
[00:26:27] You're her...
[00:26:29] Oh, so...
[00:26:31] Do you support women's rights?
[00:26:33] The gynecologists are a normal and non-weird body part, Detective.
[00:26:37] Right!
[00:26:38] Yes, yes they are.
[00:26:41] Absolutely.
[00:26:42] The gynecologists.
[00:26:43] So what's with the creep shot?
[00:26:45] Man, do you have
[00:26:47] lots of bushes to hide
[00:26:49] in your gynecology office?
[00:26:51] I took this at a family get together.
[00:26:53] I'm a family friend too.
[00:26:55] I was her mother's gynecologist.
[00:26:57] He keeps saying gynecologist.
[00:26:59] It's a normal word!
[00:27:00] Right.
[00:27:01] But wait, if you're a guy
[00:27:05] who's a doctor...
[00:27:07] If you're not suspicious, then
[00:27:10] why have we never noticed these scars on Joe before?
[00:27:13] She covers them up with makeup.
[00:27:15] I bet if you compare old pictures and new pictures
[00:27:18] you'd see exactly when Joe started wearing that stuff
[00:27:21] to cover up the scars on her hands.
[00:27:23] But how would she stab Alaska
[00:27:25] while she was setting the forest fire?
[00:27:27] And how did she hide it from the police?
[00:27:29] How would she patch up that scar
[00:27:31] without going to the hospital?
[00:27:33] Hey, that's for you to figure out.
[00:27:35] I just wanted to step in as a civilian doing a good deed.
[00:27:38] But I will tell you,
[00:27:40] I don't think the police tend to hate her.
[00:27:43] She's got a PBA card,
[00:27:45] so that's a start.
[00:27:50] That's my alarm.
[00:27:51] Alright, it's time to get back in the machine.
[00:27:54] Pick that up.
[00:27:55] And Steven, the doctor for people
[00:27:58] has us pick up the panel of the CAT scanner
[00:28:01] and reattach it to the machine.
[00:28:03] Later on, Jeremy will recount the nurse
[00:28:05] who ripped off the side of the scanner.
[00:28:07] Must have been fucking ripped.
[00:28:09] What do we...
[00:28:10] You know, what do we do now?
[00:28:13] Jeremy?
[00:28:14] Wait!
[00:28:16] We have to ignore that.
[00:28:19] Yeah, I agree.
[00:28:20] I'm just wondering where does he shit?
[00:28:23] But if...
[00:28:24] No, he...
[00:28:25] He has to shit.
[00:28:26] But I don't think it's in there.
[00:28:28] I...
[00:28:30] I have to...
[00:28:31] I have to go back in.
[00:28:32] But she really put makeup on her hands every single day?
[00:28:35] She also does her nails every week
[00:28:37] and rips off the nails when she gets called in
[00:28:39] by the fire department.
[00:28:40] But that's...
[00:28:41] That's not the point.
[00:28:42] Sure.
[00:28:43] Would she put the makeup back on every time
[00:28:45] she washes her hands?
[00:28:46] That seems insane.
[00:28:47] Plus,
[00:28:48] he was hiding his own hands that entire time.
[00:28:51] That's mysterious.
[00:28:52] What?
[00:28:53] Like he photoshopped his hands onto her hands?
[00:28:56] I'm not making fun of you.
[00:28:58] I'm just...
[00:28:59] Tired.
[00:29:00] There you guys are.
[00:29:01] Hey!
[00:29:02] So, Boo's doing...
[00:29:04] He's doing okay.
[00:29:07] I...
[00:29:08] I didn't tell them anything.
[00:29:10] I know.
[00:29:11] I trust you.
[00:29:12] And uh...
[00:29:14] Logan, uh,
[00:29:15] Boo wanted you to visit...
[00:29:16] I'm...
[00:29:17] I'm okay.
[00:29:18] Are you sure?
[00:29:19] You can take a couple minutes to see Boo.
[00:29:21] We'll be fine.
[00:29:22] Fine.
[00:29:24] I won't tell them anything.
[00:29:26] Denver, uh...
[00:29:28] One quick thing?
[00:29:29] What's up?
[00:29:30] So, I'm thinking about this X symbol.
[00:29:33] And someone told me that it's the symbol for this...
[00:29:36] Like the Colombo crime family.
[00:29:39] Then Jeremy disappears from my audio.
[00:29:42] And he appears in Boo's.
[00:29:46] Hey, Boo.
[00:29:47] Uh, just wanted to bounce something off your head here.
[00:29:50] Do you ever think that maybe Bobby's hand came off and is evil
[00:29:54] and that's the one who did all this?
[00:29:56] I don't want to think about anything bouncing off my head anymore.
[00:29:59] It's a real poor choice of words, Logan.
[00:30:02] I kind of chose it that way.
[00:30:04] So, were you guys like interrogating Bobby?
[00:30:07] You weren't there.
[00:30:09] I bet it was hardcore.
[00:30:10] I bet he cried.
[00:30:11] Joe wants to be the human-like detector.
[00:30:14] And that's true.
[00:30:16] She's pretty good at reading people.
[00:30:20] Huh.
[00:30:21] Nice.
[00:30:22] I wish I could read.
[00:30:24] Yeah, whatever.
[00:30:25] The, uh...
[00:30:27] The app, like...
[00:30:37] Come on, Boo.
[00:30:38] Ask another question.
[00:30:40] That can't be a name.
[00:30:44] Logan, uh...
[00:30:46] Did you kill our...
[00:30:49] Alaska?
[00:30:50] Oh, yeah.
[00:30:51] He's lying.
[00:30:55] So did you kill...
[00:31:00] Alaska?
[00:31:03] No.
[00:31:04] So...
[00:31:06] It's been good seeing you.
[00:31:08] Yo, just wait a sec.
[00:31:11] Just please.
[00:31:13] What's Denver doing?
[00:31:14] I'm helping him investigate.
[00:31:16] Is that, like, a problem?
[00:31:19] It won't work unless...
[00:31:21] Unless...
[00:31:23] Unless solve it.
[00:31:25] Unless solve it.
[00:31:27] Hmm?
[00:31:29] Here's gonna just end everything unless...
[00:31:32] The way you talk is too messed up, bro.
[00:31:35] I don't understand you.
[00:31:37] I don't understand you.
[00:31:38] ...able to talk and alas...
[00:31:40] Alaska will only come back.
[00:31:42] The person that...
[00:31:44] That you perceive to be right in front of you
[00:31:48] solves the mystery himself.
[00:31:52] Do you understand?
[00:31:53] I think so.
[00:31:55] Are you saying...
[00:31:57] Are...
[00:31:59] Dude, I don't understand you.
[00:32:00] That second hit gave you problems in your brain.
[00:32:03] You're saying random words.
[00:32:05] No, no, no, no, no.
[00:32:08] Shut up, shut up, shut up.
[00:32:11] Mirror's gonna end everything.
[00:32:14] Don't worry about why only one person can solve the mystery
[00:32:21] and bring our Alaska back.
[00:32:27] Okay, I do get it, but that's...
[00:32:32] That's fucking weird. Why?
[00:32:35] Why would that...
[00:32:36] Were you there to witness the killing?
[00:32:39] No.
[00:32:41] Cool.
[00:32:43] Wait, are you gonna die?
[00:32:45] Not gonna die if...
[00:32:49] Gonna die if can't figure out who killed our Alaska.
[00:32:54] That's the thing, the creature,
[00:32:57] the person you perceive in front of you will die
[00:33:02] with flesh and everything, that one.
[00:33:06] Okay.
[00:33:07] And you don't have...
[00:33:10] You're not saying anything and don't get...
[00:33:15] Why are you...
[00:33:18] Why not expose...
[00:33:21] Why not say who killed, what killed, how killed...
[00:33:27] This kind of blindsided me.
[00:33:29] I didn't expect this.
[00:33:31] You didn't expect us to ask you about Alaska's death,
[00:33:34] the thing that's boozed entire personality?
[00:33:37] My entire personality?
[00:33:39] You thought normal.
[00:33:42] Stop looking at...
[00:33:44] I'll just answer your question.
[00:33:48] Asking about Alaska's death is fine.
[00:33:51] That's fine.
[00:33:53] I didn't expect the trolley problem when I woke up yesterday.
[00:33:57] Can Emma go for a bit?
[00:33:59] Can we switch out?
[00:34:00] I swear I'll come back and I'll talk your ears off.
[00:34:02] I just need some time to think about how I'm going to say this.
[00:34:10] Yeah, I'm going to go an hour at most.
[00:34:14] Okay?
[00:34:15] Thanks guys.
[00:34:17] Hey boo.
[00:34:22] Hey idiot.
[00:34:24] Talk up what you came here for.
[00:34:27] And you came here for a luck.
[00:34:31] You don't need a reason to be confident.
[00:34:36] Boo Curtis.
[00:34:39] Boo Curtis.
[00:34:41] Boo Curtis.
[00:34:43] Was that true?
[00:34:45] Yeah.
[00:34:50] He actually got really upset.
[00:34:52] He actually thinks he's living the trolley problem.
[00:34:55] I think if he says he's going to be back soon, he will.
[00:34:58] Oh, didn't mean that.
[00:35:00] That's the important part.
[00:35:03] So what do you think?
[00:35:07] Did you pick up on anything that didn't?
[00:35:10] Did I pick up on anything that didn't?
[00:35:13] Stop.
[00:35:14] Nothing really except, I mean you said something before about all the things I see and don't tell you about?
[00:35:21] Sure.
[00:35:22] Logan likes me.
[00:35:24] Like Logan has a crush on you?
[00:35:28] No.
[00:35:29] Actually, I mean it's hard for me to place it.
[00:35:32] Every time Logan looks at me he feels an emotion I've never seen before in my life.
[00:35:36] It's nothing like a crush or like love or anything.
[00:35:40] I honestly don't really know how to feel about it.
[00:35:43] Maybe he doesn't either.
[00:35:45] That's probably true.
[00:35:46] Logan's not worth it.
[00:35:48] I said Logan's not worth it.
[00:35:50] I've moved on by the way.
[00:35:52] How long were you standing there?
[00:35:54] Probably five minutes.
[00:35:56] Can Xanax distort your sense of time?
[00:35:58] No.
[00:35:59] Can too much Xanax distort your sense of time?
[00:36:02] Alright, maybe you can help you distort your way into a sea, Emma.
[00:36:05] Great job.
[00:36:06] Shut up.
[00:36:09] Hey, before we talk I'm gonna need a quick aside with Boo if that's okay.
[00:36:12] Am I sitting yet?
[00:36:14] Jesus Christ.
[00:36:15] Hey?
[00:36:16] I don't know if this was gonna go so well.
[00:36:18] Look at me.
[00:36:19] Am I sitting yet?
[00:36:21] That's fine.
[00:36:22] We don't have time.
[00:36:23] So Emma did you?
[00:36:25] Let me talk to her alone.
[00:36:27] I want to get a reaction out of it.
[00:36:28] We could do that or we could...together.
[00:36:32] Oh my God, I don't know if I'm sitting.
[00:36:35] This is terrible.
[00:36:37] This is like blue balls for now.
[00:36:40] Oh my God, are you curing this?
[00:36:42] Okay, it would be easier if I did it alone.
[00:36:44] Trust me, no, it's fine.
[00:36:46] I'll record everything for you.
[00:36:47] Yes, okay.
[00:36:48] But gonna be on the other side of the door.
[00:36:51] Like literally put ear against the door.
[00:36:53] Alright, don't worry about it.
[00:36:54] I don't care.
[00:36:55] I just wanted to focus on me for a second.
[00:36:56] I know what blue balls is,
[00:36:57] but I still don't know what a penis looks like.
[00:36:59] Gonna...
[00:37:01] Ah, go to the bathroom.
[00:37:03] You right back.
[00:37:05] I drew a penis for Bobby and he said it's still wrong.
[00:37:09] Why are you sewing to Stumptown?
[00:37:12] What do you do there?
[00:37:13] I just hang out.
[00:37:15] I like nature.
[00:37:17] Yesterday I found a cool bug.
[00:37:19] What kind of bug was it?
[00:37:21] How cool was the bug?
[00:37:22] I don't know.
[00:37:23] It was a cool bug.
[00:37:25] It was big.
[00:37:26] Describe the bug, Emma.
[00:37:28] That shouldn't matter!
[00:37:30] It was brown.
[00:37:31] It was brown and it was big.
[00:37:32] But most bugs are brown.
[00:37:34] How did you feel when you saw Alaska's body?
[00:37:36] What?
[00:37:37] How did you feel when you saw Alaska's dead corpse?
[00:37:40] I was traumatized.
[00:37:44] It was bad.
[00:37:46] It was so bad.
[00:37:47] It was a bad time.
[00:37:48] Stop yelling at me.
[00:37:50] You go to a therapist or something?
[00:37:52] Tell me what's wrong with you.
[00:37:54] I wanna know.
[00:37:55] I can see right through you.
[00:37:58] And it creeps me out.
[00:38:00] I can see what nobody else sees.
[00:38:03] Alright?
[00:38:04] Whatever I'm seeing, I'm seeing something.
[00:38:07] You can't hide from these eyes.
[00:38:10] What the hell is wrong with you, Emma?
[00:38:12] I have a lot of feelings.
[00:38:14] And sometimes loud noises freak me out.
[00:38:19] And when people yell at me, my head goes blank.
[00:38:23] And I can't think.
[00:38:25] And what is that now?
[00:38:29] I'm sorry.
[00:38:30] I'm sorry.
[00:38:31] Are you acting right now?
[00:38:36] No.
[00:38:37] Yes you are.
[00:38:39] No.
[00:38:40] Oh yes, yes.
[00:38:41] Yes you totally are.
[00:38:42] You're such a liar.
[00:38:43] You killed him didn't you?
[00:38:45] No.
[00:38:46] I'm gonna tell Boo you killed Alaska.
[00:38:48] No.
[00:38:49] Joe.
[00:38:50] You didn't have to do that.
[00:38:52] Where did Emma go?
[00:38:53] Did she scare her off?
[00:38:55] Yes I did.
[00:38:56] But when does...
[00:38:57] Wait where is she?
[00:38:58] Do you have the band with to apologize?
[00:39:04] No it was fine.
[00:39:05] That was fine.
[00:39:06] Emma runs out with the book in her hands and nobody sees her do so.
[00:39:10] She does that.
[00:39:12] She hides in plain sight.
[00:39:14] Now she's off with the notebook that could solve the case because she might have killed Alaska.
[00:39:20] Joe, you successfully intimidated her.
[00:39:25] Fucking fantastic job.
[00:39:27] That doesn't mean that that was helpful.
[00:39:31] Boo I can't read Emma.
[00:39:33] Is everything okay in here?
[00:39:35] Yeah no we are good.
[00:39:37] We were just watching a video and the volume was set loud.
[00:39:40] Sorry.
[00:39:41] No worries, just checking.
[00:39:45] What were you saying?
[00:39:46] You were saying something.
[00:39:48] You can't read her?
[00:39:50] I saw Emma around in some town.
[00:39:52] We were doing similar stuff at the time.
[00:39:55] We had similar goals.
[00:39:57] What goals?
[00:39:58] We were working the market.
[00:40:00] Wow.
[00:40:01] You know, I know.
[00:40:02] Okay but it's not relevant.
[00:40:03] What is important is that I kept my distance from Emma because her emotions were weird and different.
[00:40:09] Kind of blurry and unrecognizable.
[00:40:13] She was like hiding her emotions from me somehow.
[00:40:16] And now I can't read them at all.
[00:40:18] For my sister's smile, she's happy when you say you're fine, you're not.
[00:40:22] And then there's Emma.
[00:40:24] With Emma I can't tell.
[00:40:26] So can't interview her?
[00:40:29] Can't do anything.
[00:40:31] That's right.
[00:40:32] Joe if Emma could have killed her at Alaska,
[00:40:36] Emma probably killed him.
[00:40:39] Is it wrong that considering that...
[00:40:46] Did you kill him?
[00:40:47] No.
[00:40:49] Did you?
[00:40:51] Trying to understand the question, just give a second.
[00:40:57] No.
[00:40:59] Huh.
[00:41:00] It has to be Emma.
[00:41:02] It's quiet.
[00:41:06] Do you want to put music on?
[00:41:09] And on our end we still don't know about Emma or her book.
[00:41:13] Alright, thank you for your time.
[00:41:15] Sure.
[00:41:16] And we don't notice Emma rushing past us.
[00:41:21] Emma has her notebook in her hands.
[00:41:23] She rips out every single note about the podcast and throws the book into the trash.
[00:41:35] Well, that was a buzz.
[00:41:36] Hey, I have an idea.
[00:41:38] But Bobby has an idea.
[00:41:40] Bobby don't.
[00:41:41] I mean have we... like have we ever actually checked in the trash?
[00:41:45] Oh no thanks.
[00:41:47] I just ate.
[00:41:48] You can have some though.
[00:41:49] No, my fortune cookie.
[00:41:51] It told me that one man's trash is...
[00:41:57] is another man's treasure.
[00:42:00] Okay, come on.
[00:42:01] Got it.
[00:42:03] A book.
[00:42:05] One man's trash is another man's treasure.
[00:42:08] I take it out of Bobby's hands.
[00:42:10] Bobby, you got a text.
[00:42:13] Can I have the book?
[00:42:16] Just check it.
[00:42:19] So Emma said...
[00:42:21] No, no it's Joe.
[00:42:23] Uh...
[00:42:24] Boo...
[00:42:27] Boo wants to see me again.
[00:42:29] Bobby walks away without eye contact.
[00:42:34] Can I have some hand sanitizer?
[00:42:36] Oh bro, it has been on the top of my purse waiting for this moment.
[00:42:42] That's a scary looking book.
[00:42:44] Give it to me.
[00:42:46] I'll throw it out a second time.
[00:42:48] Boo and Jor are doing more to interview Bobby.
[00:42:50] But it isn't going anywhere.
[00:42:54] Um, uh, so since you can tell when I'm telling the truth...
[00:42:59] I just want to say that I did not stab Logan.
[00:43:02] Like I didn't stab him.
[00:43:03] He's lying.
[00:43:04] What?
[00:43:05] If I'm lying, I do not know.
[00:43:08] Joe, how much do you know that you just never shared?
[00:43:11] Bold of you to assume I'm paying attention.
[00:43:14] But Joe does know a lot more than she's letting on.
[00:43:17] Hey, so I've been thinking a lot about that ex symbol.
[00:43:20] Like the one for the...
[00:43:22] Columbo's the crime family and...
[00:43:24] And I'm starting to wonder if it might actually be like a dark magic thing.
[00:43:28] Like what if it's not a criminal thing at all?
[00:43:31] Oh Bobby, did you...
[00:43:33] Hypnotize yourself to forget the night Alaska died?
[00:43:38] No.
[00:43:39] Like that is just the traumatic memory loss.
[00:43:44] He's lying.
[00:43:46] While me and Jeremy are just perplexed by this book...
[00:43:50] Jeremy walks to the trash can but before he drops the book...
[00:43:54] He opens it.
[00:43:57] There's no way.
[00:43:59] And Jeremy approaches me with the book in his hands.
[00:44:05] Dude, look at this.
[00:44:07] All of the pages are ripped out.
[00:44:09] Except that with all the pages ripped out...
[00:44:12] There is still handwriting on the inner cover.
[00:44:15] It reads, remember, remember the 13th of July in 2019.
[00:44:20] When he was tossing and turning, he nearly scratched off his bandages.
[00:44:26] That boy said he saw a glimmering weapon in the hand of a girl.
[00:44:30] He said more but who can remember the rest?
[00:44:35] I just found this.
[00:44:36] Oh God.
[00:44:37] Yeah.
[00:44:38] Is it a cursed book?
[00:44:39] That's the day Alaska died.
[00:44:41] It says a glimmering weapon in the hand of a girl.
[00:44:45] That can only be three people.
[00:44:47] Yeah, but it can't be Joe.
[00:44:48] She had an alibi.
[00:44:49] She was setting stuff on fire.
[00:44:52] And it can't be Emma since Emma was high.
[00:44:55] And I don't think it was Glory.
[00:44:59] Jeremy will later on call this the moment where he waivers.
[00:45:03] From this moment he wonders if him and I are on the same side.
[00:45:07] I'll be right back.
[00:45:08] I hear a crying family that I can kiss.
[00:45:11] So he leaves and he gives Boo a call.
[00:45:14] Uh, I'm gonna head out now.
[00:45:18] I'll see you later, Bobby.
[00:45:21] You will.
[00:45:22] You definitely will.
[00:45:25] Boo.
[00:45:26] Boo, you will.
[00:45:28] Boo, you're not dead yet, right?
[00:45:36] Man, it's Logan.
[00:45:38] He run.
[00:45:40] What's going on?
[00:45:41] Hey, we found a book.
[00:45:43] It says something weird in it.
[00:45:45] Okay, I'm gonna tell you what it says.
[00:45:47] One second, Joe, can you write this down?
[00:45:50] Are your hands broken too?
[00:45:51] Oh, sure.
[00:45:52] What?
[00:45:53] You're lucky I'm a sweetheart.
[00:45:54] Thanks.
[00:45:55] All right, here's what it says.
[00:45:57] Remember, remember the 13th of July in 2019
[00:46:01] when he was tossing and turning
[00:46:03] he nearly scratched off his bandages.
[00:46:06] That boy said he saw a glimmering weapon in the hand
[00:46:13] of a girl.
[00:46:15] I'm just laughing because Bobby doesn't have a hand.
[00:46:18] That's why.
[00:46:20] He said more, but who can remember the rest?
[00:46:24] Glimmering weapon?
[00:46:27] I don't know about this.
[00:46:29] How about you?
[00:46:30] Gotcha.
[00:46:32] Wait, how would know how you feel?
[00:46:37] Okay, well Denver says it's about what Bobby saw.
[00:46:41] I'm gonna go stand next to Denver while he does his thing.
[00:46:45] So y'all do your thing.
[00:46:47] I'll come talk to you guys soon.
[00:46:51] Okay, take your time.
[00:46:53] Except don't write.
[00:46:55] Yeah.
[00:46:56] Yes.
[00:46:57] I'd see you guys.
[00:46:58] Bye Logan.
[00:47:00] Bye.
[00:47:01] Bye.
[00:47:09] So Bobby saw a girl with a weapon.
[00:47:15] And Emma, Joe, Emma killed Alaska.
[00:47:33] We need to find out if Joe had scars on her hand.
[00:47:37] No, no, she didn't.
[00:47:40] Joe didn't.
[00:47:41] Joe did not.
[00:47:46] What's wrong with you?
[00:47:48] First of all, I have to stand here in this fucked up place where my best friend was killed forever.
[00:47:53] And now blue's gonna die and you're threatening to take away the only one that's left.
[00:47:59] Well at least we can have a repressed memory of a girl holding a weapon.
[00:48:03] We have plenty of information that corroborates anodyne.
[00:48:07] Too high to function that night.
[00:48:09] So...
[00:48:13] My eyes can't cry.
[00:48:16] I'm gonna talk to Joe and Boo about who actually killed Alaska.
[00:48:28] You go fuck yourself Denver.
[00:48:31] Jeremy, please.
[00:48:34] Jeremy saw Alaska die.
[00:48:36] And that's a strange reaction of Joe killed Alaska herself.
[00:48:40] But...
[00:48:42] All of it is so strange.
[00:48:45] Bobby should have recognized glory even from a distance.
[00:48:49] The two of them were best friends.
[00:48:52] Who knows?
[00:48:54] But Joe's fire alibi could have some kind of loophole.
[00:48:58] Is Joe's alibi really foolproof?
[00:49:01] I wanna revisit it again.
[00:49:03] I'm walking through the hallways when...
[00:49:09] Hey, hey, hey!
[00:49:10] Turn around!
[00:49:12] I'm walking through the hallways when I'm stopped by Dylan and Dan.
[00:49:16] And I take note that Dylan is holding that brown paper bag.
[00:49:20] Sorry?
[00:49:21] Just get outta here!
[00:49:24] And here's probably the smartest thing I've ever done.
[00:49:27] I check how they're standing.
[00:49:29] I look at the doors they're facing away from and I make an educated guess about what room they're guarding.
[00:49:35] It's a door on their left side.
[00:49:37] I make a run for it.
[00:49:46] Hi!
[00:49:47] I'm really sorry.
[00:49:49] I just kinda ran in here on instinct.
[00:49:53] You are early.
[00:49:56] Oh, I'm here by accident.
[00:49:58] I was just walking through the hallway and a couple guys threatened me.
[00:50:04] There's a surgeon by the window.
[00:50:06] He's picking up all the surgical tools and looking at them in the light.
[00:50:11] Are you an investigator?
[00:50:13] Yes.
[00:50:15] Are you Finn Denver?
[00:50:17] Yes.
[00:50:19] I've been trying to find you because I know a thing about what you're investigating.
[00:50:23] There's a rumor.
[00:50:25] Joe had the means to set that fire from a distance.
[00:50:28] Oh.
[00:50:30] Oh.
[00:50:31] That's...
[00:50:33] possible.
[00:50:36] Where'd you hear this rumor from?
[00:50:38] My gynecologist.
[00:50:40] I'm trans.
[00:50:41] From Steve?
[00:50:43] Different gynecologist.
[00:50:45] He keeps saying gynecologist.
[00:50:47] It's a normal word!
[00:50:48] Do you guys who are doctors care about whether Joe Magaro killed Alaska?
[00:50:56] For the same reason you care, right?
[00:50:58] Everybody has an opinion about the Curtis case.
[00:51:02] Everybody wants to see a resolution.
[00:51:05] That's all I know.
[00:51:07] Is there a way out of this room that doesn't go into that hallway?
[00:51:12] It doesn't matter if he's right or not.
[00:51:15] It's true that Joe could have started the fire from a distance.
[00:51:18] And if that's true, Joe's alibi could be moot.
[00:51:22] She could have killed Alaska.
[00:51:24] I need to see Joe's hands.
[00:51:26] And if she was the one who stabbed Alaska,
[00:51:29] then she would have split her hands open on the knife.
[00:51:32] I need to know if she's been hiding those scars.
[00:51:36] And if she was, then that's the end of this story.
[00:51:40] That is the answer to our question.
[00:51:45] And Boo doesn't even know I'm coming.
[00:51:47] Emma killed Alaska.
[00:51:55] You think so? You really think so?
[00:51:57] Emma killed Alaska?
[00:51:59] Past the ghost box.
[00:52:06] Emma killed Alaska.
[00:52:09] That has to be it.
[00:52:11] Tell, tell, tell.
[00:52:12] You have to know how.
[00:52:14] No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
[00:52:15] You, you lied.
[00:52:17] You told Taff to know who killed Alaska.
[00:52:23] You can't just say the name.
[00:52:25] I didn't lie. It's not fake.
[00:52:27] If you just have a name, you didn't solve anything.
[00:52:30] It's just a random guess.
[00:52:32] Alaska isn't back yet, is he?
[00:52:34] You thought maybe it's Bobby or Logan or any of them, haven't you?
[00:52:40] You need to actually understand or this isn't going to work.
[00:52:43] Can you please tell if it's, if it's Emma?
[00:52:47] No.
[00:52:56] I got a text from Logan.
[00:52:58] Yeah, sorry. Wait, is he here?
[00:53:03] Visitor.
[00:53:04] Thank you.
[00:53:05] Of course.
[00:53:09] Hey, what's up?
[00:53:13] I thought about turning in the killer.
[00:53:18] I really honestly thought about it, but I can't say it.
[00:53:23] Please.
[00:53:24] Me and Alaska were talking.
[00:53:26] We were in his basement, your basement.
[00:53:29] We, um, yeah, here.
[00:53:32] Okay, I'm pulling something up to show you.
[00:53:35] Jeremy pulls out his phone and shows it to Boo and to Joe.
[00:53:38] Show me your reaction to this.
[00:53:41] And Jeremy shows them a corpse.
[00:53:44] Oh, shit.
[00:53:46] Don't show this. Put it away.
[00:53:48] Put it away.
[00:53:49] It's fake.
[00:53:51] It's not real.
[00:53:52] Well, we didn't know that.
[00:53:54] I go to the websites a lot and stare at them.
[00:53:57] Have you guys ever heard of role place?
[00:53:59] Role place?
[00:54:01] What are you talking about?
[00:54:03] Role place.
[00:54:04] Do you know about larping?
[00:54:07] It's kind of like that.
[00:54:09] There are communities of people on the internet who do different kinds of pretend.
[00:54:15] There are role plays where you pretend to be stabbed or role plays where you're kidnapped and held for ransom.
[00:54:22] Or role plays where you pretend to die in a hole and nobody comes to your funeral.
[00:54:27] Or role plays where your office job is so painful that it sucks out the last drop of joy while your parents beat the shit out of you.
[00:54:35] Or role plays where you act like a snake under someone's foot.
[00:54:39] Surprise is usually a factor.
[00:54:42] Like you don't know what's coming.
[00:54:44] Are you saying you and Alaska?
[00:54:47] I didn't say anything.
[00:54:49] You said that.
[00:54:50] I also didn't say I was going to pretend to be killed, you know, for fun.
[00:54:54] Flokin' what?
[00:54:58] True.
[00:55:00] All true.
[00:55:02] Sorry.
[00:55:03] You wanted Alaska to pretend to kill you?
[00:55:11] The anticipation was so high when I saw the knife and then it went into Alaska.
[00:55:19] Everything started looking like a cartoon to me when his blood poured out like a...
[00:55:34] Flokin' Flokin' who did it?
[00:55:36] Flokin' Flokin' Flokin' who did it?
[00:55:39] Flokin' Flokin' who did it?
[00:55:42] No, but I can't say it.
[00:55:44] I'm roadkill man.
[00:55:45] I can't say it.
[00:55:49] Are you being held hostage?
[00:55:52] No, no.
[00:55:53] I just can't send anyone to prison.
[00:55:56] I can never do it.
[00:55:59] Is it Emma?
[00:56:00] Is it Emma?
[00:56:02] I'm not going to tell you.
[00:56:05] True.
[00:56:06] I'm roadkill.
[00:56:08] I can't tell you.
[00:56:09] Going to the bathroom.
[00:56:16] We'll just play it around and go back to telling fucking jokes.
[00:56:22] Flokin' what you can't think, can you?
[00:56:24] Something's wrong.
[00:56:26] I feel like everything he's saying is technically correct but something is wrong.
[00:56:35] Oh, so you can still think.
[00:56:38] So you agree with?
[00:56:39] We're usually on the same page.
[00:56:41] You just hate yourself too much for me to like you.
[00:56:43] Can't think, can't think, can't think.
[00:56:46] I have to remember to breathe.
[00:56:49] And when think, can't remember to breathe.
[00:56:52] Please, please, please just...
[00:56:55] Please just give me some kind of hint, please.
[00:56:58] You want a hint?
[00:57:01] Go to the lake, fool.
[00:57:03] You might drown.
[00:57:05] What?
[00:57:07] I might find something down there.
[00:57:09] You're trying to kill?
[00:57:13] I sure am.
[00:57:14] But what if you beat me?
[00:57:16] Try to convince Joe before you convince.
[00:57:19] Joe's not going to let out.
[00:57:23] I can help you.
[00:57:25] You can help get to the lake.
[00:57:27] You can jump out this window.
[00:57:29] You want to save Alaska, don't you?
[00:57:31] Just want to save yourself?
[00:57:33] Are you tired of being depressed?
[00:57:35] Aren't you tired of giving up before you started?
[00:57:38] It hurts to try, but it hurts more and more as you ride away.
[00:57:41] I can help you get to the lake.
[00:57:47] How?
[00:57:48] I can't teleport you.
[00:57:50] Yeah, so, so, so how?
[00:57:52] I can hold your bones together while you jump out that window.
[00:57:55] You saw Emma's car in the parking lot?
[00:57:58] Her car's windows are broken.
[00:58:00] It would be so easy to steal that car.
[00:58:04] I'll...
[00:58:06] I...
[00:58:08] I'm not coordinated yet.
[00:58:10] I...
[00:58:11] I could hit my head again.
[00:58:13] I can numb the pain when you do.
[00:58:16] No, no, no, no, no.
[00:58:18] No.
[00:58:19] If hit head again, it could be broken.
[00:58:21] It could be broken forever.
[00:58:23] It could lose...
[00:58:25] everything left in me.
[00:58:29] But isn't this what you wanted?
[00:58:33] Didn't you want that in the first place?
[00:58:36] To be nobody?
[00:58:38] Make sure you don't yell.
[00:58:51] If you yell, I'll do it for you.
[00:59:10] The lake, the lake, the lake, the lake, the lake, the lake, the lake...
[00:59:24] I arrive 30 minutes later.
[00:59:30] Joe opens the door.
[00:59:33] She stares at me blankly.
[00:59:37] Jeremy calls out from inside the room.
[00:59:41] Boo's in the bathroom.
[00:59:43] Actually, I'm here to...
[00:59:45] He's been in the bathroom for like half an hour.
[00:59:47] Why are you staring at me?
[00:59:49] Boo!
[00:59:50] Detective Poop Ass is here.
[00:59:52] You want to talk to him or no?
[00:59:54] What is it?
[00:59:55] I'm here...
[00:59:56] I'm here for you.
[00:59:58] I need you to show me your hands.
[01:00:00] Guys!
[01:00:01] Boo isn't in there.
[01:00:03] Boo?
[01:00:04] Boo?
[01:00:05] Boo?
[01:00:06] Are you in there?
[01:00:08] Guys!
[01:00:09] She says Emma, my car is gone.
[01:00:11] My car has been standing there.
[01:00:12] I said my car is gone.
[01:00:13] Then he has to be going to...
[01:00:15] The lake.
[01:00:16] The lake. It's happening all over again.
[01:00:18] And without missing a beat, Dylan and Dan are in the hall.
[01:00:22] What's going on?
[01:00:24] Where are we going?
[01:00:26] They pretend they weren't trying to chase me off earlier.
[01:00:30] We meet Bobby outside.
[01:00:32] What are we gonna do if we show up at the lake and Boo's dead?
[01:00:52] What do we do even legally?
[01:00:56] He's gonna be fine.
[01:00:59] Just gotta move on.
[01:01:01] Yeah, fucking whatever. Thank you, Lackey.
[01:01:05] I didn't say that.
[01:01:07] Joe.
[01:01:10] Joe.
[01:01:11] Joe.
[01:01:12] Does he know?
[01:01:14] Dylan, stop it!
[01:01:15] You guys shut up while I try to manifest a prey.
[01:01:18] Like what the fuck?
[01:01:20] Let's do a roll call.
[01:01:26] Do we have Bobby?
[01:01:27] I'm here.
[01:01:29] Do we have Dylan?
[01:01:31] Yeah.
[01:01:32] Do we have Dan?
[01:01:34] I'm here.
[01:01:36] Jeremy?
[01:01:38] I just heard Jeremy.
[01:01:39] What?
[01:01:40] Joe?
[01:01:42] Yeah, I'm here, hon.
[01:01:44] And Emma.
[01:01:48] Is Emma not here?
[01:01:50] Okay, so who's gonna text Emma when that will be back?
[01:01:54] Wait, wait, wait. Just let me check. Let me check.
[01:01:57] One, two, three, four, five, six, seven.
[01:01:59] Emma's here. Emma's here.
[01:02:01] She just, she disappears sometimes.
[01:02:03] I'm just trying to have some privacy.
[01:02:05] Fucking Christ! How long have you been there, Emma?
[01:02:07] I'm trying to dissociate.
[01:02:09] Oh my fucking God, can someone pull the earbuds out of my pocket and hand them to me?
[01:02:13] Want me to pull them with my teeth?
[01:02:15] Logan, I am just not into you anymore!
[01:02:23] What the fuck?
[01:02:25] Okay, I wasn't actually gonna jump out.
[01:02:30] Okay, okay, don't park. Just stop here.
[01:02:33] Ow!
[01:02:38] Leave the door open. It's fine.
[01:02:40] It's my work car. They'll replace it.
[01:02:48] Boo boo!
[01:02:49] Those are his shoes.
[01:02:50] Joe! You want help?
[01:02:53] She can do it.
[01:02:55] I kick off my shoes.
[01:02:57] I won't make this mistake again.
[01:02:59] I jump in.
[01:03:02] My microphone breaks.
[01:03:05] Me and Joe look around in the water.
[01:03:08] Then Dylan and Dan join us.
[01:03:10] I have to watch one of them throw that paper bag above water.
[01:03:14] Boo's nowhere.
[01:03:17] Where is he?
[01:03:20] Actually, he's above water.
[01:03:22] Sitting next to his microphone.
[01:03:25] And here's the recording.
[01:03:27] Boo! Boo!
[01:03:34] You're okay.
[01:03:38] You can do it.
[01:03:42] Afraid to die.
[01:03:45] So now just gonna die anyway.
[01:03:51] Boo! Boo!
[01:03:54] Boo! Boo, you're alive!
[01:03:58] Shut the fuck up. Don't talk ever again!
[01:04:06] No, my God, boo boo.
[01:04:08] Joe, can you take a few steps towards me?
[01:04:10] What? Are you...
[01:04:13] Are you trying to take boo away from me?
[01:04:18] No.
[01:04:20] Denver is...
[01:04:22] Just step towards me, please, Joe.
[01:04:26] What's wrong? Fine, okay? Fine. What's wrong?
[01:04:32] What's wrong with you?
[01:04:34] I saw your hands in the lake.
[01:04:38] Joe, did you kill Alaska?
[01:04:43] Joe, your hands are scarred, but...
[01:04:46] Because I see your hands all the time that's not possible.
[01:04:50] No! No! No, I didn't!
[01:04:54] She's been wearing makeup.
[01:04:56] What? No, it's just a tattoo. It's not a scar.
[01:04:59] Joe?
[01:05:01] Guys, she's right.
[01:05:05] Like, that's not a scar. That is a tattoo.
[01:05:10] An X symbol as in like...
